10 Soju Cocktail Recipes To Upgrade Your K-Drama Binge Seshs

Soju cocktail recipes

There’s little we don’t love about soju. Readily available, sweet, refreshing, and especially potent for an affordable price, it’s little wonder the Korean spirit has become a Friday night staple for many. While soju is great on its own, or mixed with beer in a classic soju bomb, you could always do to level up your drink with any of these 10 super simple soju cocktail recipes.

Peach soju is a perennial favourite flavour, so level that up with a dose of Milkis, the Korean version of the fizzy, yoghurt soda that is Calpis. Having gin in the mix is optional, but does help to crank up the alcohol content a notch and add some floral notes to the overall beverage.

Yield: 1 drink

Time needed: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

15ml gin
25ml peach soju
35ml Milkis or Calpis

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake, and serve.

Soju Melona is a popular recipe around TikTok. If you didn’t know, Melona is a popular Korean ice cream bar snack that’s flavoured like honeydew melon milk. You can get your hands on the bar at most major local supermarkets, on Lazada, or at Korean specialty marts around the island.

While most people dunk the ice cream bar into the soju mix and enjoy it as is, we feel blending the bar with the spirit offers a creamier consistency, almost like a daiquiri.

Yield: 2 to 3 drinks

Time needed: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

1 bottle of soju
2 Melona ice cream bars, sticks removed
1 cup ice
1 can of Sprite or Chilsung cider

Directions:

  1. Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend till smooth. Serve.
