Get Fresh Bagels From $5.50, Genmaicha Latte And More In Farrer Park

Sourdough And Brew is a new bagel cafe at Farrer Park

Sourdough and Brew by Baking with Gina is the latest addition to the local bagel scene in Singapore, among familiar names such as Wooly’s Bagels and Two Men Bagel House. Started by home-based business Baking With Gina, the new cafe offers a variety of fresh, handmade sourdough bagels. They are an eight-minute walk from Farrer Park MRT Station.

After fulfilling endless baking requests from her children, Gina, the owner, developed a passion for the craft. Before she knew it, she was taking orders for her home-based bakery, where she sold an array of bagels, cookies, and loaves of bread. Now, her customers can enjoy her bakes at this newly-furnished space!

Choose from a variety of flavoured bagels, which include Wholemeal ($5.50), Blueberry ($6), and Chocolate ($6.50). These can be paired with a side of Cream Cheese ($1.80) or French Butter ($0.80). If a plain bagel or two isn’t enough to substantiate your fill, go for their variety of loaded bagel sandwiches.

We recommend the Eggsplosion ($12), which is packed with thick scrambled eggs and cheese, or the classic Smoked Salmon ($12). The bagels have a dense exterior and are delightfully soft and chewy on the inside.

Matcha enthusiasts will also be happy to know that the cafe uses Niko Neko powders for their matcha and hojicha drinks. Both drinks are unsweetened, which allows the rich and earthy flavour of the teas to shine. Their Matcha Latte is priced at $8 while their Hojicha Latte and Genmaicha Latte are priced at $7.

The cafe also offers other bakes including cookies and loaves, which they switch up from time to time.
