From now till 1 March 2020, the Croburg ($23.90++) is available at Spizeās Temasek Club branch. This delightful croissant burger is an original creation of the eatery.Ā
The Croburg uses a patty thatās made from 400 Days Grain Fed Australian Wagyu beef. A blend of 80% lean meat and 20% fat is used to make the pattyāthe golden ratio for most burgers. The patty is then seasoned with smoked salt, before being seared. No artificial flavours are added to the mix, which allows the Wagyuās rich flavours to be highlighted.
Haresh Sabnani, owner and chef at Spizeās Temasek Club outlet, was inspired to use a croissant as the bun, due to its intense butteriness. He and his team eventually managed to come up with this unique recipe.
This burger bun is coined the āRose Croissantā due to its rosette-like shape. Itās folded and compressed within a mould to achieve the spiral shape. The end result is a croissant bun thatās denser than most others, with a flaky and crispy exterior. This burger also contains a sunny side up egg, caramelised onions, cheddar cheese, and truffle aioli, making for a savoury and juicy sandwich.
Each order of the burger also comes with a side of curly fries and mesclun salad.
