Surrey Hills Grocer’s New High Tea Has Milo Pudding, Kopi “Tim Tam” And More

Surrey Hills Grocer ION Orchard has new high tea for National Day

Tucked away on the fifth floor carpark of ION Orchard, Surrey Hills Grocer isn’t the most obvious spot for a high tea date. But that’s exactly what makes its new Garden Bites & Orchard Sweets High Tea worth seeking out—a botanical-inspired set with 12 unique items, inspired by nostalgic Singaporean flavours.

Priced at $68++ for two people, or $102++ for three, each guest gets 12 individual pieces plus a choice of coffee or tea. This works out to just $34++ per person—not bad for an afternoon tea in town!

The savoury line-up begins with the Pink Beet Blini, topped with ricotta, marinated beetroot, beet puree and edible flowers, followed by the Egg Mayo Tortilla Bite, which combines egg mayonnaise with sakura shrimp, black pepper and truffle seasoning.

Local flavours take centre stage in the Pork Benny Bite and the Smoky Char Siu Bao & Prosciutto Mini Croissant, which pairs smoky char siew with mozzarella, rocket leaves, and buttery pastry.

On the sweet side, the Milo Egg Pudding transforms the beloved chocolate malt drink into a silky steamed pudding topped with Milo dust, crisp chocolate pearls, and gold leaf. Kopi lovers get their own moment with the Gula Melaka Lamington & Kopi Tim Tam, which brings together coconut sponge, gula melaka, coffee ganache, and dark chocolate.

The rest of the sweets lean tropical: the Coconut & Mango Parfait, served in an actual coconut shell with mango sorbet, fresh berries, yuzu pearls, and a butterfly tuile; the Pandan Caramel Slice, layering sea salt caramel with pandan whipped ganache over a biscuit base; and the Calamansi & Pineapple Pavlova, featuring crisp meringue, calamansi curd, pineapple coulis, and a flower tuile.
