Sushi Express reopens at 313 Somerset

Agree to disagree, but Sushi Express is usually my go-to place when I want to satisfy my sushi cravings. While they don’t offer the same premium cuts as Itacho Sushi and Genki Sushi, their price point remains the most affordable of the three.

To save even more, make a beeline for Sushi Express’s outlet at 313 Somerset from 22 May 2019 to 24 May 2019. To celebrate their reopening, the restaurant is having a $1++ per plate promotion over the next three days!

There are more than 80 different types of sushi available at Sushi Express, so you will definitely be spoilt for choice.

But what most of us will be zealously looking out for on the conveyor belts are their plates of salmon-based sushi. My favourite is their Aburi Salmon Nigiri, which features two fatty pieces of torched salmon belly.

The aburi (flaming) touch releases the buttery goodness sealed in the fish, so every bite of this sushi is rich and intensely flavourful.

This offer is only available for dine-in customers. Furthermore, you will be limited to a 30-minute dine-in time, so snap up your favourite sushi as quickly as possible!

That being said, if you’re looking for a quick bite to chow down while on the go, you can consider getting their Bento ($5) instead. Each set comes with ten pieces of sushi and features toppings such as salmon and grilled eel, so you’ll still get a good bang for your buck.

Now that you know about this promotion, bookmark this page, jio your BFF out, and end the day with a sushi feast!

However, it’s best to reach before peak hours, since there’s def’ gonna be a snaking queue forming outside this popular outlet.

Don’t worry if you missed out on this promotion, as there are plenty of affordable Japanese eateries in town. One of them is Kazoku Japanese Cuisine. A comfortable eight-minute walk from Novena MRT Station, this hipster eatery offers restaurant-worthy sushi at wallet-friendly prices.

Order their signature Aburi Mentai Roll ($6.40/$11.40) and be rewarded with generous slices of torched mentaiko salmon on a roll brimming with ingredients.
