For halal-friendly, hearty Western fare, head straight to Andes by Astons, located on Level 2M of Terminal 4 Departure Hall. You won’t go wrong with the All Day Special ($17.90++), which comes with scrambled eggs, smoked chicken sausages, and grilled chicken. You also get to choose two sides, including Baked Potato, Mac & Cheese, BBQ Beans, and Pasta Salad. If you’re still hungry, there’s the option of topping up $3++ for an extra side. Alternatively, fill up on more carbs in the form of Carbonara ($11.90++) or Beef Bolognese ($11.90++).

Another halal-certified joint at Terminal 4 is Ma Mum. It also happens to be a 24-hour eatery, so you can satisfy your munchies if you have a late-night flight. Here you’ll find local favourites including Singapore Laksa ($5.50), Chicken Rendang ($6.80), and Mee Rebus ($5.30). Those who just want a snack can go for their Kaya Butter Toast Set A ($5.30), comprising thin slabs of toast with fragrant kaya and cold butter, paired with two runny eggs, and a hot kopi or teh. Interestingly, the casual eatery also serves some Thai-style dishes, including Beef Brisket Noodles ($8.50)!

If you’re transiting at Terminal 4, make a pitstop at Zero Degree, a halal-certified gelato shop that serves locally inspired flavours on waffles. They’re also open all day, 24 hours, so you can get your sweet tooth cravings sorted out whenever! Their gelato is priced at $4.90 per scoop for classic flavours, and $6.90 for premium. Bestsellers include Black Sesame, Horlicks, Sea Salt Gula Melaka, and Bubble Tea. For something lighter and more refreshing, try their Coconut Sorbet ($5.90) or Yuzu Sorbet ($5.90) instead.

Another 24-hour eatery in Terminal 4 to add to the list is Paris Baguette. Tuck into a plethora of breads and pastries, including Chocolate Croissant ($4.60), Best Ever Garlic Bread ($4.60), and Mushroom Baguette Pizza ($5.70), alongside savoury salads, cakes, and the chain’s famous Royal Pudding (price TBD). Located at the Arrival Hall, this Paris Baguette offers plenty of seats, so you can easily chope a table to catch up with your loved ones after your flight.

Aji Ichi Sushi Bar is a highly-rated Japanese restaurant in Terminal 4. At the point of writing, they’ve amassed over 250 Google reviews with a 4.9-star rating! Dive straight into their fresh sashimi, with a platter of Chef’s Selection ($68++ for five kinds, $88++ for seven kinds). They also have sushi rolls that are perfect for sharing at the table, with flavours such as Soft Shell Crab ($20++) and Salmon Avocado ($20++). Otherwise, for an easy, frills-free meal, opt for their donburi—the Chirashi ($23++) is a popular pick.

If you’re craving a big, hearty bowl of Teochew-style bak kut teh, check out Old Street Bak Kut Teh, a popular chain that’s been around since 2010. Prices are steep, but the BKT broth is said to be rich and peppery. You can request a free top-up of soup, too! There’s the Premium Rib Tenderloin ($23.90++), which gets you fork-tender ribs in the chain’s signature pepper soup. Otherwise, go for the Mee Sua with Tenderloin ($16.90++) if you’re a carb lover. They also have dry bak kut teh if that’s up your alley.

Tiger Den is a chic, bar-like eatery opened by Tiger Beer with interesting bites and, of course, beers. Aside from a classic bottle of Tiger ($15++), you can also try other variations such as Tiger Crystal ($15++). Those who want something else can go for their wines or cocktails instead! Don’t miss out on their food combos, too, great for padding the stomach while you drink. There’s the Fill Me Up Good Combo ($45++), which gets you a burger, fries, and a whole pint of Tiger beer.

Those who want more variety in their meal can head to the newly revamped Kopitiam, which overlooks the Departure Hall. Here you’ll find local delights including Old Amoy Chendol‘s famous Traditional Chendol ($3), alongside savoury mains such as nasi padang and ban mian. If you’re up to try something different, check out Rokus for their unique Korean-inspired fare. Highlights include Tteokbokki Burger ($$13.90), Hamburg Steak Ramyeon ($8.90), and Korean Corndog ($5.90)—perfect for a quick pick-me-up before your flight.
