Get Legit Ipoh White Coffee, Almond Jelly Coffee And More At This New Bishan Kiosk

The Daily Cup has authentic Ipoh coffee and tea in Bishan

Nothing beats a good ol’ cup of coffee or tea to start the day right. If you’re looking for a place to satisfy your daily caffeine fix, you have to visit The Daily Cup, a takeaway-only kiosk in Bishan North Shopping Centre which serves up legit Ipoh coffee, tea, and buns at affordable prices.

A best-seller here is the Ipoh White Coffee ($2.50). It is well-balanced in sweetness and acidity, with light nutty notes that linger on the tongue. Similar to how coffee is served in Ipoh, their coffee is frothed with a whisk, producing a light foam above the drink for a creamy, smooth mouthfeel.

For the almond lovers out there, don’t miss out on their Almond Jelly Coffee ($3.80). The almond flavour was prominent in this drink, which also comes with chewy almond jelly for some variance in texture.

If you’re more of a tea person, the Three Layers Teh ($3.50) comes highly recommended. This three-layered drink comprises milk tea that’s topped with evaporated milk, and has a base of gula melaka syrup. Give the drink a good mix, and enjoy the rich, creamy tea with hints of caramel and coconut.

Those who have a soft spot for matcha should order their Bing Matcha Coffee ($3.80), which is their take on a dirty matcha, but made with their traditional Ipoh coffee. We didn’t get a chance to taste their matcha drinks as they weren’t available during our visit, but give these a try if you love matcha!

Not only does The Daily Cup offer drinks, but they also offer bread and toast to satiate your hunger. Go for their Tamago Sando ($4.50), a Japanese-inspired item which features egg mayonnaise and half a jammy egg stuffed between two fluffy slices of white bread. If you prefer an old-school style of bread, then their Traditional Peanut Butter Toast ($2) or Signature Butter Kaya Toast ($2) should sound enticing.
