Tiong Bahru Bakery Has Mala Beef Croissant, Rojak Burger And More For A Limited Time Only

Tiong Bahru Bakery (TBB), the bakery that we all know and love, is collaborating with Birds of a Feather for a National Day Crossover! They have come together to create a limited-time menu of three pastries that will be available at all TBB outlets nationwide from 1 August to 31 August 2023.

First up is their Sichuan Roast Beef Croissant ($13) that features TBB’s signature croissant loaded with slices of roast beef and a side of achar.

This croissant packs an explosion of flavours: you get a flaky, buttery croissant with Sichuan red oil-spiced roast beef, plus fried garlic and leaves of lettuce that add freshness to this croissantwich.

If you prefer chicken, go for their Sichuan Rojak Chicken Bun ($12) instead. A coriander seed-speckled molasses bun sandwiches tender chicken breast slathered in a spicy, Sichuan-style peanut dressing.

If you’re concerned that this might be too intense on the palate, don’t worry! The spicy Sichuan sauce balances out well with the added cucumber slices and pineapples, just like in rojak.

TBB is most loved for their kouign amann, and this National Day, it takes on a local twist with Kopi Pecan Kouign Amann ($7).

Inspired by Hainanese kopi gu you, AKA butter kopi, the bakery’s very own dark-roasted coffee beans add a bitter edge to the sweet pastry. It’s also sprinkled with sea salt to enhance the flavours, and dotted with crushed pecans for nuttiness.

Don’t miss out on their Coconut & Gula Melaka Iced Red Latte ($8.90)! For those on a caffeine-free diet, this drink’s for you; it’s made from rooibos tea, and does not contain caffeine. 

Like everything else on this limited-time menu, the inspiration behind this drink is also local. Unlike teh tarik, the Coconut & Gula Melaka Iced Red Latte is topped with a gula melaka coconut foam, and has nata de coco within!
