Famous Tiong Bahru Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice Opens New Outlet In Tampines

Tiong Bahru Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice in Tampines

Tiong Bahru Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice is one of the most recognised chicken rice offerings in Singapore, and they have recently branched out to open a new outlet in Tampines Street 81, so Easties can get a taste of this famous take on our national dish.

Their flagship location in Tiong Bahru Market has won numerous accolades, including a Michelin Bib Gourmand nod, for their $3 boneless chicken rice. The stall has been running for over 30 years now, owned by a chef with former experience working at Mandarin Hotel—home to the famed Chatterbox Chicken Rice.

Choose between white or roasted meat, and have your chicken served atop lighter, but still flavourful ginger rice, with a side of pickles and cucumbers for freshness. Enjoy your plate with their house-made chilli, as well as ginger sauce. Their roast chicken is especially popular, thanks to its crisp skin.

Other options include their Lemon Chicken Rice (from $3), which is served with a citrusy sauce over chicken. Sides are also on the menu, so you can choose from vegetables such as tau geh or bak choy, from $3 too.

The Tampines outlet is their third stall around the island, with the second located at Changi Village. With two outlets already in the East, here’s hoping Tiong Bahru Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice will bring their popular fare to other neighbourhoods across the island in due time.
