ICYMI: The Smart Local is celebrating TSL10, AKA its 10th anniversary this year, and we’ve got a bunch of freebies and activities for fans lined up. We recently gave away free Korean fried chicken, free bubble tea, and now, we’re offering $100 for an Eatbook fan who can tell us their favourite hawker stall, and dine with us there.
If the promise of free money and dining with a member of the Eatbook team is something you’re interested in, simply swing by the Yishun area on Wednesday, 4 October 2023, at 11am.

We’re not revealing the exact location, but if you’re in the ‘hood, look out for our talent, John, who will be holding up a signboard offering $100 to anyone who will dine with us. Say hi, and if you get chosen to be a part of the video, all you need to do is:

If you don’t get chosen, don’t worry, as we’ve got some small consolation prizes to offer. Note that only those selected to be featured in the video will be able to claim the prize.Â
Those who CMI on 4 October or think the North is too far, don’t stress it. We’ve got another $100 challenge coming up on 16 October 2023. This time, look out for John around Chinatown, where he’ll be holding up a sign asking fans to review a cafe with us.Â
If you’re selected, John will take you to a nearby cafe where you get to channel your inner food critic on video!
