Best curry puff stalls in Singapore

Every time someone mentions curry puffs to me, the first thing that comes to my mind is Old Chang Kee, but I believe there are many other curry puff stalls out there waiting to be heard of. If you love snacking on curry puffs as well, I’ve compiled a list of the best curry puffs in Singapore that won’t disappoint both you and your tummy!

Update: Rolina is temporarily closed.

1. Tanglin Crispy Curry Puff

If you frequent Hong Lim Market & Food Centre in Chinatown often, you would probably have stumbled upon Tanglin Crispy Curry Puff Since 1952, known for their Potato Chicken with Egg Curry Puff ($2). The extra crispy skin gives a crunch into the savoury and spicy curried potato chicken and the hard-boiled egg adds an element of surprise. It’s a moreish snack to have so always buy more than one if you’re planning to get it!

Do note that there’s also another stall with a similar name (Tanglin Crispy Curry Puff Original) at Unit #02-36, run by the hawker’s brother.

2. Rolina Traditional Hainanese Curry Puffs

Located in Tanjong Pagar Plaza Market & Food Centre is Rolina Traditional Hainanese Curry Puffs, a curry puff stall that has been operating since 1958. Some of you might be familiar with this stall as they used to operate outside Novena Church. Mr Tham, the owner of this stall, was taught by a Hainanese sailor-chef, hence their signature handmade Hainanese Curry Puff ($1.80). Despite being on the smaller side, it is jam-packed with curried potatoes and hard-boiled egg. Their fillings are slightly spicier compared to typical curry puffs and it is definitely a must-try if you love both curry puffs and spicy food.

The filling is mildly flavoured and savoury, so even kids can enjoy this snack. The potatoes are on the chunkier side compared to regular curry puffs so it feels more shiok.
