Sound the trumpets, for the Michelin Guide has just announced the winners for its Michelin Guide Singapore Bib Gourmand 2023 Award. This year, a total of 79 local food places have been bestowed this honour, including 53 hawker stalls and 19 new entrants. Of this 19, only two, Kok Sen and The Coconut Club, are restaurants.
The Bib Gourmand award recognises affordable, more wallet-friendly eateries, which should cost diners less than $50 a meal. Since many of these are hawkers and casual restaurants, there’s a good chance whatever catches your eye on this list will be well under that amount.
The 2022 edition of the Bib Gourmand list had 67 names on the list, 12 less than this year.
