Popular Yan Ji Seafood Soup Opens New Outlet At Old Airport Road Food Centre

Yan Ji Seafood Soup opens at Old Airport Road

Yan Ji Seafood Soup is touted as one of the best seafood soups in Singapore. Its OG outlet in Marsiling has been in operation for over 30 years now, serving up bowlfuls of popular seafood soup. If you live in the East, you’ll be happy to know that Yan Ji Seafood Soup has officially opened a new outlet in Old Airport Road, so you won’t have to travel all the way far to get your fix.

Their Old Airport Road outlet follows their other establishments. Here, you’ll be able to get your hands on their famed Seafood Soup, where shrimp, crayfish, fish bones, and more are slowly boiled to extract the fullest of their flavours. Naturally sweet, and chock full of umami, there’s good reason why we’ve rated their seafood soup so highly.

You can get the broth with different toppings, and in different sizes. The most affordable option is their Dory Seafood Soup, which starts at $7.50, and comes with slices of dory, and meatballs.

Their standard Batang Soup, which comes with batang fish, prawns, fish maw, minced pork, clams, and chunks of tomato, is priced from $11.50.

If you want something more luxurious, then get their Premium Seafood Soup. Priced from $31, this includes all the ingredients above, and also comes with meaty crayfish tails, which often include dollops of roe, as well as abalone and scallops.

The soup is so flavourful, and the ingredients so generous, that Yan Ji’s seafood soups are perfect with just a bowl of rice alongside.

Old Airport Road is home to plenty of notable stalls aside from Yan Ji Seafood Soup, so if you’re planning to visit, check out our Old Airport Road food guide. For other seafood-y hawker dishes, check out our guide to the best prawn mee in Singapore.
