VivoCity Basement 2 Reopens With Japan-Famous Curry Buns, Fresh Pasta And More

VivoCity Basement 2 reopens with new restaurants and kiosks

New in: VivoCity Basement 2 has undergone a major revamp, with new restaurants, eateries, and food kiosks to check out. You can expect a whopping total of 71 F&B stores, with everything from quick bites to sit-down meals!

We’re most excited about PastaGo, known for its affordable fresh pasta. Previously located at JCube, the kiosk now has an outlet at VivoCity Basement 2, so fans can get their pasta fix here without breaking the bank. Prices start at just $5.70 for the plain Aglio Olio!

If you’re not in the mood for pasta, head to Mincheng Bibimbap for a hearty meal. Their signature BBQ Bibimbap starts at $7.80 for the pork version, or you can get the Hot Plate BBQ (from $10.80) if you enjoy your bibimbap with charred rice bits.

Famous Japanese chain Giraffa has also opened at the mall. The brand is popular for its Giraffa Curry Bread ($5.60), starring a fluffy milk bun that’s filled with cheese and meat curry, then lightly breaded and deep-fried till golden perfection.

There are plenty of dessert options for those with a sweet tooth, too, including Nasty Cookie. Must-try cookies include Biscoff Cookie ($6.50), Oh! Smores ($6.50), Dark Choc Sea Salt ($6), and Kaya Cheese ($6.50).

Mister Donut is another new addition to the mall. We recommend their mochi-esque doughnuts, specifically the Pon De Ring Chocolate ($2.50), which features chewy rounds glazed with a not-too-sweet chocolate coating.

For fresh pastries and bakes, head to The French American Bakery‘s kiosk. Their Cinnamon Bun (price TBD) is a best-seller, starring pillowy swirls of sweet bread infused with sweet and aromatic cinnamon sugar. The bakery also offers a decent lineup of desserts, with the likes of Brownie Croissant ($5.80), Lemon Loaf ($5.90), and Brookie ($3.90).
