Get “Wok Hei” Burger From $2.90 By Ex-Fine Dining Chef In MacPherson

Wok Hei Burger has $2.90 burgers in MacPherson

Known for his fine dining expertise and noodle joint Cheeky Signature’s, chef Darwin Wong has unveiled his latest concept. After 5pm each day, the Cheeky Signature’s outlet in MacPherson transforms into Wok Hei Burger, offering affordable yet innovative burgers from just $2.90!

I say innovative because these burgers have several standout features. Each one carries a smoky, wok hei-esque aroma, something Chef Darwin is known for in his noodle dishes. And for an additional $1, you can have pork lard in your burger, giving each bite a burst of fatty goodness.

All that is present even in the cheapest burger, the Sesame Peanut Chicken Burger (from $2.90). With toasted buns, a grilled chicken patty, and nutty sesame peanut sauce, this tasted like a chicken Ramly burger on steroids.

If you have more to spend, go for the Black Pepper Wagyu Beef Burger (from $6.90). We went for the double patty option for an additional $4 and were blown away by the juicy, succulent Australian Wagyu patties. The flavour was irresistibly smoky, too, thanks to the black pepper sauce and Chef Darwin’s signature wok hei.

The Chilli Crab Fish Burger (from $5.90), meanwhile, combines sweet chilli sauce with a crispy Alaska pollock fish patty. It tastes so good that it could give McDonald’s Chilli Crab Sauce Burger a run for its money! But if you’d like a spicier burger, be sure to get the XO Fiery Chicken Burger (from $5.90).

For $4.30, you can upgrade your burger to a set meal, which gets you crispy lotus chips and a drink of your choice. Should lotus chips not catch your fancy, however, there are other sides as well, including the Chilli Crab Shrimp Twister ($6.80), Spicy Chicken Drumlets ($4.80), and XO Pork Lard Dirty Fries ($6.80).

Pair your burger with a bottle of Beer, which starts from $5 per bottle all day round. With its excellent prices and delectable food, you’ll definitely want to check out Wok Hei Burger if you’re in the area!
