With CNY just right around the corner, Xian Dan Chao Ren has created their very own festive salted egg cookie, alongside three new additions to their current menu. If you’re unfamiliar with Xian Dan Chao Ren, they first started as a takeaway kiosk at Waterway Point, specialising in salted egg munchies, before opening their second outlet at VivoCity last October.

Savour some buttery salted egg goodness with their Salted Egg Cookies ($18.90), made especially for Chinese New Year. These cookies are baked fresh daily and are handmade, with no preservatives added. Only limited stock is available in-stores, so it’s best to place a pre-order for the cookies at least two days in advance by dropping Xian Dan Chao Ren a message on their Facebook or Instagram pages.

Aside from the cookies, Xian Dan Chao Ren is also expanding their menu by adding Prawn, Calamari, and Fish Skin coated with their signature salted egg seasoning. Get their Seafood Duo ($9.90), which includes prawn and calamari. Alternatively, get a little bit of everything by going for the Seafood Platter ($16.90), which includes all three of the new additions.

If you’re looking for non-seafood options, consider going for their Chicken ($5.90), Lotus Root ($4.90), and Mantou ($4.90). You can also get their Dynamic Duo ($7.90), the Terrific Trio ($9.90), and the Ultimate Team-Up ($15.90), which are sets of two, three, and five items, respectively. Top-up an additional $2 to pair your munchies with rice and a sunny-side-up egg.
