With the ongoing trend of coating everything with salted egg yolk, Xian Dan Chao Ren is opening their newest outlet in VivoCity on 21 October. This will be their second outlet, following their first one located in Waterway Point.Â
For those who are unfamiliar with the menu here at Xian Dan Chao Ren, you can opt to have your fried goods prepared in two ways, either the Flip, or the Dip. The former sees the selected item coated in an umami-packed salted egg crumble, while the latter comes as a rich and creamy salted egg yolk sauce.Â
There are five main items on their menu, including the Chicken ($5.90), Fish ($5.90), Lotus Root ($4.90), and Mantou ($4.90). For a little bit of everything, get the sets, which allow you to have a choice of two, three, or five items. These are the Dynamic Duo ($7.90), Terrific Trio ($9.90), and the Ultimate Team-Up ($15.90), respectively.Â
If you’re looking to indulge in something more substantial, top-up just $2 to pair your flavourful salted egg-coated delights with a side of rice and a runny sunny side-up egg.Â
Additionally, look out for their seasonal menu items, including the Shiitake & Snow Mushroom ($5.90) and the unique Salted Egg Burger ($6.90), which features a crispy fried chicken patty slathered in a thick salted egg sauce, sandwiched between two fluffy buns.Â
End off your meal with a refreshing Salad for just $2 with any purchase. Thinly shredded cabbage are topped with a fragrant sesame oil dressing, for a fresh and aromatic mouthful.Â
