Xiao long bao buffets are not new to us, but this affordable Xiao Long Bao Buffet Dinner at Master Wang is still worth a visit. Available at the chain’s new kopitiam outlet at Woodlands, this value-for-money feast is available every day, with the last order going out at 8:30pm.
From Mondays to Thursdays, the buffet is priced at $21.80++ for adults and $16.80++ for children under 12 years old. For Fridays, weekends and public holidays, the buffet is priced at $23.80 ++ for adults and $19.80 for children.Â
There are five dumpling dishes that you can order again and again: Original Steamed Dumpling AKA xiao long bao, Scallop Steamed Dumpling, Lala Steamed Dumpling, as well as Fragrant Pan Fried Dumpling (potstickers) and Steamed Dumpling (shui jiao). You’ll also get a complimentary Seafood Mini Wok to help wash down those yummy morsels of meat.
While Master Wang is no award-winning Din Tai Fung, their XLBs are still pretty yummy. Each soup dumpling’s soft skin gently holds a parcel of savoury juices that explode in your mouth, guaranteeing mouthfuls of tasty satisfaction. The scallop XLBs stand out with umami hints of dried scallop broth that seafood lovers will definitely enjoy.
Aside from xiao long bao, Master Wang is also known for handmade noodles. The hawker stall offers a variety of their noodle dishes, such as Spicy Braised Pork La Mian Dry ($6)Â and Signature Braised Pork La Mian Dry ($6).
