Pasir Panjang residents, you’re in luck. There’s a new cafe in your area, XO Cafe, serving barista-brewed coffee, souffle pancakes, cookies and more!
The under-the-radar coffee and dessert spot is housed in Viva Vista, a small neighbourhood mall along South Buona Vista Road. It’s also a 10-minute walk from Haw Par Villa MRT Station.

The hidden gem offers made-to-order Souffle Pancakes in a small range of flavours including Original ($8), Tiramisu ($10), and Matcha ($9). Online reviewers state that these pancakes are super light and fluffy, and are comparable to bigger brand names out there. If you only have room for one flavour, get the Tiramisu, which comes with house-made mascarpone cream and freshly-pulled espresso!

If you want something smaller, there’s an assortment of cookies at the display counter to choose from, priced from $4.80. These thick and chunky cookies come in flavours such as Matcha and Biscoff S’mores. Visit earlier if you’d like to snag a cookie!

Their Strawberry Matcha Latte ($6.50) is not to be missed, too. This aesthetically pleasing beverage features a strawberry sauce at the bottom, fresh milk, and a matcha layer on top. Stir everything well before consuming to enjoy the lovely blend of sweet strawberry, earthy green tea, and creamy milk.
Alternatively, XO Cafe has espresso-based drinks including Flat White ($5.50) and Mocha ($6), great for a caffeinated pick-me-up.
Do note that seating is limited, so it’s best to opt for takeaway or visit during off-peak hours.
