Here’s a piece of good news for Westies: Yeah Gelato just launched its 7th outlet in Jurong Point, alongside three unconventional flavour releases. The Black Vinegar Gelato ($9.80++), Mala Peanut Gelato ($9.80++), and Misty Green Gelato ($7.80++) have soft-launched at the new outlet and will be available islandwide from 4 November 2026. Â
The Beijing-born gelato brand first opened its doors in Singapore in June 2025 and has since exploded in popularity due to its fresh, daily-made gelato and premium ingredients. Curious about the bold new flavours, we headed down to give them a try.Â
The three new flavours came with Yeah Gelato’s signature peaks. The Mala Peanut was garnished with fried pieces of chilli, an interesting touch for a dessert.
I was most curious about the Black Vinegar, though I had my doubts about the unusual flavour combination. Surprisingly, it ended up being my favourite.
The tangy vinegar flavour was noticeable, yet subtle. The addition of cream cheese mellowed out its sharpness, resulting in unexpected caramel-like notes.Â
The Mala Peanut was another interesting number. It ended up tasting like peanut butter-flavoured gelato, with a mala aroma in the background. It reminded me of a thick, nutty, peanut-sesame dipping sauce that I would enjoy alongside a spicy bowl of mala, but in gelato form.
Of course, I had to try it with the fried chilli—it turned out to be crunchy and sweet with barely a hint of spice. The crunch and slight savouriness added a nice contrast to the creamy, sweet gelato.
The Misty Green Gelato is the most familiar flavour, made with matcha and green tea, which sets it apart from other matcha products. Personally, I could pick up on both flavours, though subtly. The green tea added a roasted, nutty flavour profile that complemented the earthy matcha notes.
We also tried out some of Yeah Gelato’s existing signatures. If you’re new to the brand, its Pistachio Gelato ($9.80++) is a fan favourite. While I’m not a pistachio fan, I immediately understood the hype. The pistachio flavour was rich and pronounced, with just the right amount of sweetness to balance its nuttiness.
Another best-seller worth trying is the Premium Rice Gelato ($7.80++).
We also tried the Vanilla Gelato ($7.80++), which is a staple in every gelato store. This one was speckled with real vanilla beans, giving it a rich, fragrant flavour. And the Hawthorn Gelato ($7.80++) hit me with a wave of nostalgia, as it tasted just like the hawthorn flakes that I’d snack on as a child.Â
The cafe in Jurong Point had a nice, calming ambience, with wooden furniture and beige walls, designed to mirror the serenity of a Chinese rice field.
To celebrate the new launch, Yeah Gelato is offering a 1-for-1 promotion at the Jurong Point outlet from 6 November to 8 November 2026, and 50% off a second cup from 9 November to 12 November 2026.Â
