It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been excited for a Korean chain opening in Singapore. Yoajung, a popular frozen yoghurt chain that Koreans fell head over heels for in 2024, is finally opening its first store in Singapore at *SCAPE. Fun fact: the brand name is an abbreviation of the phrase “best yoghurt and ice cream formula” in Korean! Mark your calendar: the famous Korean froyo chain is reaching our shores on 5 September 2025.
Besides all the celebrity endorsements, Yoajung rose to fame because every froyo bowl is customisable, with plenty of toppings to choose from. The yoghurt ice cream, which is served as the base, is said to be creamy with a good balance of tart and sweet flavours.
At the time of writing, we don’t know what the menu and prices in Singapore are like, but we’re hoping it’s similar to the Korean one. In that case, we can expect three base options: yoghurt ice cream, low-sugar yoghurt ice cream, and Greek yoghurt.
The best part is picking all your toppings for your dessert bowl. Of the lot, the honeycomb is arguably the most iconic ingredient that sets Yoajung apart from the other froyo chains in Korea.Â
There’s also a variety of cereals, granolas, and fruits to choose from, but we’re hoping the lesser-seen toppings, such as dalgona, raspberry crumble, brown sugar mochi cube, will be available in Singapore, too.
If you’re indecisive like me, get one of the recommended combinations created by the Yoajung team. There are more than 20 variations in Korea, including strawberry formula, rainbow formula, and a sweet-sour formula.
Froyo isn’t all that Yoajung offers—acai bowls seem to be a new hit. According to the Korean menu, there are six fixed acai combinations to consider, in case you don’t want to DIY a bowl, with fruits and cacao being the most popular toppings.
We’ll update this article with more information as soon as we get more information on hand, so keep your eyes peeled for Yoajung’s grand opening in September.
