7-Eleven Has Ready-To-Eat Korean Food Such As Jajangmyeon And Egg Toast, Everything Under $6

7-Eleven has been upping their game as of late, with their recent launches of halal instant fried rice and ready-to-eat dan dan mian. This month, they’ve rolled out a whole slew of Korean food offerings that go beyond the usual onigiri and sandwiches, with everything affordably priced below $6.

A new addition this year is the Gilgeori Toast Sandwich ($3.60), AKA Korean Street Toast. The convenience stall’s rendition features onion omelette and ham with shredded cabbage, drizzled with a smoky BBQ sauce, mayo, and ketchup, tucked between two slices of toasted bread. The savoury breakfast sandwich is made without added preservatives, too!

There’s also Samgyetang ($5.50), AKA Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup, another new item in the lineup. Perfect for rainy days, this ready-to-eat meal comes with succulent chicken thigh boiled in a savoury broth with jujube, sticky rice, and American ginseng. It’s served with a side of short-grain rice—just like how you’d enjoy your ginseng soup at a Korean restaurant.

The popular Jajangmyeon ($4.20) from last year makes a comeback, too! Slurp up QQ egg noodles topped with chunjang sauce, which is a special black bean sauce imported from Korea, garnished with chopped spring onions for freshness. 

Another good ol’ favourite is the Korean Spicy Rice Cakes ($3.20), or most commonly known as tteokbokki. This classic street snack is cooked with gochujang sauce for a sweet and spicy flavour. Don’t miss this deal: you can snag $0.50 off your tteokbokki when you purchase it with your Samyetang, Gilgeori Toast Sandwich, or Yangnyeon Chicken Wrap from now till 26 April 2022!
