Good news for all Easties: Mr Grumpy Nasi Ayam, famous for their fried chicken, has just opened Super Gepuk in Tampines! The new stall specialises in ayam gepuk, AKA “Indonesian smashed chicken”, priced from $7.50. It is also halal, so Muslim customers can also enjoy this iconic dish.

The dish also comes with an egg, tempeh, and crunchy sayur goreng—Indonesian-style stir-fried spinach. To zhng up your meal, pair it with their punchy sambal belachan for a spicy kick, a splash of peanut sauce for more umami, and a dash of kecap manis for some sweetness to mellow out the spice. There’s also the option to add on any additional sides for only $1!
