At Tea: Jam Hsiao’s Bubble Tea Shop Opens At Somerset, With Toffee Cream Foam And Smoothies

At Tea in 313@Somerset

Founded by popular Taiwanese artiste Jam Hsiao, At Tea is a unique bubble tea store that opened its doors in Singapore just April this year. Following their first outlet at Tiong Bahru, and another in Sun Plaza, they have recently opened their newest outlet in 313@Somerset, bringing their aromatic teas to town.

What’s unique about this branch is that it is the only outlet with a cosy sitting area for customers to relax with their cups of bubble tea. Initially, it was decorated with a rocket in the middle of the outlet, referenced from Jam Hsiao’s song, ‘SA-HAH’. With Christmas around the corner, it has been replaced with a lush Christmas tree for customers to relish in the festive atmosphere.

To celebrate this festive season, they added two seasonal drinks to their menu. The Toffee Cream Foam Cane Roasted Tea ($5.90) is their signature Cane Roasted Black Tea mixed with bittersweet toffee, and topped with savoury Cream Cheese Foam.

The Toffee & Chocolate Milk Smoothie ($6.90) features a blend of buttery toffee, decadent chocolate, and New Zealand fresh milk for a rich and creamy mouthful. It is finished with whipped cream and toffee syrup, making this drink super indulgent.

To make their drinks extra festive for the ‘gram, they will be packaged in exclusive Christmas-themed cups that see a bright red and navy blue colourway. Do head down before the new year if you would like to get your hands on these adorable cups, which will definitely zhng up your bubble tea experience!

If you’re not sure what to order, go straight for their best-selling Cream Cheese Foam Jam’s Oolong ($5.40). The whipped cream cheese foam sees a light and fluffy texture, along with hints of saltiness. The sweet-savoury foam makes a suitable pairing with the aromatic oolong, adding an extra layer of contrasting flavour.

The recommended topping for this drink is Oolong Jelly, but you can also opt to add Aloe Vera or Pearls, all for an additional $0.90

Those who prefer to stick with the classics should try the Assam Once Upon A Milk Tea ($3.60) for a solid cup of red milk tea. For something on the sweeter side, there is the Cane Roasted Black Tea Au Lait ($4.70). This dual-layered drink comes with bittersweet tea on the top, and creamy fresh milk on the bottom.

They even offer desserts, including gelatos ($4.90) and Planetary Cakes ($4.90). Made with fresh tea leaves, Jam’s Oolong and a Cane Roasted Black Tea Gelato are great options for tea lovers. Their gelatos have a smooth and creamy texture, and every mouthful hits you with a strong tea aroma.

Get their cute domed-shaped Planetary Cakes that come in flavours including Mango Yogurt, White Chocolate, Chocolate Praline, and Raspberry Cheese. Go for the Mango Yogurt cake if you enjoy desserts with a tang, or indulge in the Chocolate Praline flavour if you’re a fan of Ferrero Rocher.

Something lighter on the palette would be the White Chocolate cake, which comes with a dollop of raspberry filling hidden within. The Raspberry Cheese flavour comes with crunchy bits of raspberry biscuits, enhancing the variety of textures in this addictive dessert.

Now that they have opened their newest branch in Orchard at 313@Somerset, we can now sip on their great selection of bubble tea while going on our shopping spree. Rumour has it that Jam Hsiao might repost your pictures if you tag them on Instagram, so try your luck and get some IG-worthy shots with the bright signage while you’re there!
