Last year was all about the kunafa chocolate bars, and this time round, the spotlight’s on the viral Dubai chewy cookie. If you’ve been scrolling on TikTok or Instagram, you’d know that the addictive marshmallow-like dessert has recently made waves across Singapore. Now, popular ice cream chain Kooks Creamery is jumping on the hype train with a unique spin: the Dubai Chewy Ice Cream, available for a limited time only!

Priced from $12.50, their Dubai Chewy Ice Cream wraps a scoop of ice cream in the bakery’s house-made chewy mochi coating.

First, choose your ice cream flavour. There are over 15 varieties to pick from, including Black Sesame, Milk Cereal, and Brown Butter (+$1). Do note that premium flavours cost $1 more, while specialty flavours cost $1.50 extra.

After picking your scoop, the ice cream is coated in a generous amount of crunchy and creamy pistachio kunafa.

It then gets wrapped in an ultra-stretchy chocolate mochi layer, before it’s topped with a load of cocoa powder.

A word of caution: avoid breathing in as you take a bite, as all that cocoa powder can cause quite a coughing fit.

As recommended by the staff, we tried the dessert with their Milk Cereal and Brown Butter ice cream.

The light and creamy Milk Cereal ice cream paired great with the earthy pistachio cream and bittersweet cocoa powder, zhinged up by the crunchy cereal hidden within.

But our favourite had to be the Brown Butter ice cream. The sweet and malty flavours were the perfect match for the nutty pistachio.

If you’re not in the mood for ice cream, go for their Dubai Chewy Cookie ($7.80) for the same stretchy dessert without the ice cream.

Before leaving, wash everything down with one of their refreshing matcha drinks, including the grassy Iced Matcha Latte ($7.50) and Strawberry Matcha Latte ($8.90), the latter blending tangy-sweet strawberry compote with milk and ceremonial grade matcha.

Kooks Creamery’s Dubai Chewy Ice Cream will be available at their 313@somerset outlet till 25 April 2026, before it’s launched at their 218 Bedok North Street 1 outlet from 1 April 2026.
