If you’re into smash burgers, you’ll want in on this. Smash Street is a new burger joint that’s opening on 3 April 2026 at Amoy Street. To celebrate its first weekend of operations, it’ll be giving away a whopping 1,000 burgers entirely free across 3 April and 4 April 2026, with 500 burgers available each day during lunch and dinner service.

Smash Street is a concept by the team behind Scarpetta, the popular Italian restaurant that’s also along the same street. This new eatery can only sit up to 14 people, so you may have to order it for takeaway come the opening weekend—it is sure to be flooded with people pining for their free burgers.

The Classic Burger (U.P. $14) are centred on—you guessed it—smashed beef patties, paired with iconic accompaniments such as cheddar cheese, all packed within toasted potato buns. The smashing technique gives the patties crisp, caramelised edges, while locking in all that flavour and juiciness.

The menu also has a variety of sides and drinks to go with the burgers. These include Crispy Thin Fries ($6) and Chicken Poppers With Chilli Crunch Aioli ($10). To beat the heat, drinks such as the Cornflakes Milkshake ($8) are likely to hit the spot—the team is said to have spent months trying to recreate the flavours of this childhood breakfast in a drink.

Do be reminded that the free burger promotion is limited to 3 April and 4 April 2026, and is available while stocks last.
