Fans of Baristart Coffee’s famous Hokkaido cream puffs and Messina’s artisanal gelato are in for a treat. The two cult-favourite brands have teamed up for the first time to launch a limited-edition range of Gelato Puffs and an exclusive Macadamia Crunch Affogato. These exclusive desserts will be available from 23 October to 6 November 2025.

This collaboration sees Baristart’s signature choux pastry filled with Messina’s rich and velvety gelato, turning the familiar dessert into an indulgent treat. Three puff flavours will be introduced for this two-week run: Pistachio Praline, Cookies & Cream, and Boysenberry.

If you love pistachio gelato, get the Pistachio Praline Puff, which pairs fior di latte gelato with pistachio fudge, white chocolate shards, and crunchy pistachio bits.

On the other hand, the Cookies & Cream Puff takes a nostalgic approach with Messina’s cocoa-based gelato packed with cookie chunks. Lastly, the Boysenberry Puff features tangy yoghurt gelato swirled with poached boysenberry coulis. Each puff is priced at $11.80.

Coffee lovers can also look forward to the Macadamia Crunch Affogato ($11.80), which combines Messina’s macadamia gelato—folded with caramelised white chocolate and nut crunch—with Baristart’s house-blend espresso. The result is a creamy and bittersweet dessert that’s perfect as a caffeinated pick-me-up. Do note that this item is only available at Baristart Coffee locations islandwide.

For those who don’t know, Gelato Messina is a popular Australian brand that recently opened in Singapore. You can look forward to 40 flavours, including the bestselling Pistachio Praline and Dulce De Leche. Their Chinatown store often sports long lines, so we recommend heading down during off-peak hours.

In other exciting food launches, famous Chinese chain The Soup Expert has opened at Suntec City with their unique “teapot” soup. You can also read about the new Old Chang Kee x UNIQLO collab that blends fashion and food!
