Beauty In The Pot Now Has A 12.5% Rebate Promo So You Don’t Have To Wait Till 10:30pm

Beauty in The Pot promo for Maybank Cardmembers

I’m a huge fan of steamboat, not so much for supper. But to keep my wallet happy, I always visit Beauty in The Pot past 10:30pm to enjoy their 20% discount. Thankfully, my financially savvy best friend has learned how to indulge in the luxurious steamboat during peak hours, without breaking the bank, by being a Maybank Cardmember and Paradise Gourmet Rewards member. Arming herself with these two memberships, she now enjoys a 12.5% P$ rebate promotion each time she dines at any Paradise Group outlets including Beauty in The Pot!

Beauty in The Pot

We love how Beauty in The Pot at Centrepoint melds traditional Chinese design with modern fittings. Service here is top-notch too, with waiters going to the extent of peeling prawns for you. For those with kids, children are given a spacious play area that comes completed with a ball pit and slides to keep them entertained.

1. Quart Pot

Staying true to its name, the scrumptious soup bases at Beauty in The Pot are concocted to be nourishing and good for your complexion. We especially love the rich and creamy Beauty Collagen Broth (from $9++ for a quart pot) as well as the Spicy Nourishing Broth (from $7++ for a quart pot). Must-orders to have with your hotpot are their Ebiko Prawn Paste ($18.80++) and Fried Beancurd Skin ($4.90++ half, $9.80++ full).

Paradise Dynasty

Located on the fourth floor of ION Orchard, Paradise Dynasty not only boasts a grandeur interior with dragon motifs gracing the ceiling, but an al fresco seating area that overlooks the whole of Orchard Road too. The restaurant specialises in Shanghainese cuisine, from la mian to their famed multi-coloured xiao long bao.

2. Steamed Yellow Croaker

Fish dishes tend to be expensive at Chinese restaurants, but Paradise Dynasty will be offering their Traditional Steamed Yellow Croaker and Steamed Yellow Croaker with Fermented Rice and Chinese Wine at $1++, with a minimum spend of $40 on a Maybank Credit or Debit Card from now till 30 April.

For diners with a more mature palate, we would recommend the Chinese wine version, which comes garnished with fermented rice, dried mushrooms, Chinese sausage and daikon. The Chinese wine imparted an aromatic tang to the fish.

This promotion is only available every Monday to Friday at all Paradise Dynasty outlets, except Changi Airport Terminal 3.

Address: 2 Orchard Turn, #04-12A, ION Orchard, Singapore 238801

Taste Paradise

For Cantonese fare with a modern twist, head to Taste Paradise that’s also situated on the fourth floor of ION Orchard. Highlighted by opulent gold and red fittings, the majestic restaurant is a great place to bring your in-laws or clients you’re trying to impress.

3. Classic XO Carrot Cake

A great appetiser to share is the Classic XO Carrot Cake ($9.80++). Stir-fried in their famous house-made XO chilli sauce, the scrummy dish was addictively piquant, making us reach back for more helpings of the crisp yet soft radish cubes. Giving a nice crunch to the dish was the blanket of bean sprouts.

4. Baked Cod Fillet with Miso Sauce

The Baked Cod Fillet with Miso Sauce ($18++ per person) was one dish that blew us away, both in appearance and taste. Individually plated and topped with a taro chip, the silky cod fillet melted in our mouth like butter. It was certainly a delicious marriage of sweet and salty flavours, where the pristine sweetness of the fresh fish was brought to life by to the moreish miso glaze and briny fish roe.

Enjoy a satisfying, wholesome meal at Paradise Classic. Don’t overlook their drinks menu; they have a variety of refreshing iced teas that make for the perfect thirst-quencher after a sweltering day at Resorts World Sentosa.

5. Long Hu Hui

Spend a minimum of $30 on your Maybank Credit or Debit Card while dining here and enjoy the sumptuous Long Hu Hui ($68.80++) seafood pot at 50% off the usual price from now till 30 April! Choose between an umami-rich seafood broth or a broth made with coconut milk and house-made chilli paste – both are equally tasty and will leave you hankering for more. The steaming claypot can easily feed two to four hungry souls, and comes loaded with five plump prawns, a whole crab, clams, squid, veggie and rice noodles.

You can fulfill your dream of having an entire hotpot to yourself at Paradise Hotpot! The stylish restaurant allows you to have your own steamboat party with their individual hotpot concept. Be spoilt for choice with over 14 tantalising soup bases, each served in a lavish gold metal pot.

6. Chicken with Wild Mushrooms Soup Base

Highly recommended is their herbal-tasting Chicken with Wild Mushrooms Soup Base ($10.80++) that comes with generous chunks of chicken and wolfberries. A pocket-friendlier alternative to Beauty in The Pot, the menu is rather similar, albeit a tighter version, with quality ingredients such as Assorted Balls Platter ($12++), Dace Fish Paste ($9++) and Sliced Pork Belly ($7.50++ for half, $15++ for a full portion).

Canton Paradise

I’m a huge fan of Canton Paradise, especially their outlet at Marina Bay Sands – it’s my go-to spot for dim sum with my girlfriends! With sunlight streaming through the expansive windows, together with their elegant, neutral-palette interior, the restaurant is beyond classy. The food is affordable too, and won’t burn a hole in your pocket like most of the other swish restaurants at MBS.

7. Wok-Fried Tender Pork Collar with Lettuce in Claypot

It’s easy to spend $40 on dim sum, especially when you’re dining in a large group. From now until 30 April, swing by on weekdays and spend a minimum of $40 on your Maybank Credit or Debit Card to enjoy this Wok-Fried Tender Pork Collar with Lettuce in Claypot at only $1++! The leafy greens were fresh, crisp and not oily, complementing the succulent and tender pork collar.

If you can only make it on weekends, head to the Canton Paradise at Alexandra Retail Centre. The outlet offers the $1++ dish every Monday to Friday during dinner service, but all day on Saturdays and Sundays.

Paradise Teochew

Paradise Teochew at Scotts Square was fully packed when we went there during lunchtime on a weekday, speaking volumes of how great their food is. The kitchen is led by a talented chef, who comes from a family of cooks specialising in Teochew cuisine, so you can expect traditional Teochew dishes here – even those that are lost and forgotten.

8. Sautéed Sliced Beef in Satay Sauce

The Sautéed Sliced Beef in Satay Sauce ($24++ for small, $36++ for medium, $48++ for a large portion) is one glorious mess you will gladly forgo your Instagram likes for. The massive slices of beef were well tenderised, making it succulent and easy to chew. A unique element that worked really well was the nutty satay sauce that gave the dish an interesting twist.

Seafood Paradise

Hidden on the second floor of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, amongst celebrity restaurants, is Seafood Paradise. The first dining concept by Paradise Group, the restaurant serves up fresh seafood, most of which are fished out live from tanks. When you’re done with your meal, step out of the restaurant and get a glimpse of what goes on in the casino from above.

9. Live Crab

A seafood feast is nothing without crabs ($9++ per 100g for Sri Lankan Crab). Take delight in the restaurant’s Signature Creamy Butter Topped with Coconut Crumbs that had us slurping up the gravy spoonful after spoonful. Rich and buttery, the indulgent sauce delivered a slight hint of peppery notes, which helped alleviate any heaviness of the dish. For those who prefer something more familiar, order the Popular Singapore Chilli Style Sauce.

10. Baked Pork Belly Ribs with Honey Pepper Sauce

While the Baked Pork Belly Ribs with Honey Pepper Sauce ($7.80++ per piece, with a minimum order of two pieces) looks like a simple dish, it actually left everyone at the dining table salivating for more. Impeccably prepared, the chops had layers of flavour and texture. It was crunchy on the outside from the treacly glaze, and the honeyed coating gave a contrast to the subtle smoky flavour of the roasted pork.
