Log cakes are the most classic seasonal offering, so to help you along, we’ve rounded up some of the best Christmas log cakes for 2023.

From classic yule logs to avant-garde creations, we’ve rounded up indulgent log cake options that are also convenient to get your hands on, including doorstep delivery and click-and-collect picks.

1. Cedele

Cedele’s offers log cakes with a unique twist this Christmas, all of them delightful because they taste as good as they look. The popular bakery has three new festive roll cakes on its menu, a selection spearheaded by the cheery Black Cabin Log Cake ($88), which combines three layers of moist Red Velvet sponge, a caramel cream prepared with Italian meringue, raspberry buttercream, and a decadent chocolate ganache, all shaped to look like a rustic wood cabin. Else, fans of the choco-mint combo can opt for the Peppermint Flourless Chocolate Log Cake ($68). This is a pepperminty riff on the Chocolate Log Cake, which has been Cedele’s bestseller for over 25 years. The cake is a gluten-free, festive delight made with creamy peppermint mousse and a rich ganache. What’s more, it’s gluten-free, and made with premium European butter, as well as organic, unrefined sugar! Those who prefer something fruitier can try the all-new Strawberry Tiramisu Champagne Log Cake ($78), featuring a refreshing champagne-infused sponge and lush strawberry mascarpone.

2. Frosty’s Bakery by Celebox

Those looking for log cakes with Asian-inspired flavours can turn to Frosty’s Bakery by Celebox. The brand has three different signature log cakes, two of which are made with a regional twist. For a crowd pleaser, we recommend the Pandan Grandeur Yule Log ($98.80++), which pairs a super aromatic panda sponge with a coconut and gula melaka mousse—think elevated ondeh-ondeh cake. Else, the Yuzu Berry Bliss Log ($98.80++) is your go-to for something light and zesty. The combination of yuzu and berries in this roll cake is the perfect, delicate end to a rich festive meal. Those looking for something classic can opt for the Chocolate Ganache Fudge Log ($58.80++), starring the timeless combo of rich chocolate fudge and sponge.

Aside from log cakes, Celebox has a wide variety of other festive-themed desserts that can suit all types of gatherings. They’ve got a selection of bread and butter puddings in different flavours, priced from $48.80++, as well as adorable gingerbread Frosty’s Christmas Cookies ($4.50++), great for spreading the yuletide cheer amongst little ones.

Choose from options such as the Santa suit-shaped Winter Berries and Vanilla Log ($108) from InterContinental Singapore, or the cottage-shaped Marshmallow Berries Log Cake ($98) from Crowne Plaza Changi Airport.

Another standout is the D9 Classic American Cheesecake Yule Log ($85) from D9 Cakery by voco Orchard Singapore. This luscious and creamy cake is crafted with their signature 48-year-old recipe, made from 100% Philadelphia cream cheese, and specially decorated for this Christmas. The Caramel Milk Chocolate Champagne Yule Log Chocolate ($95) is another show-stopper we loved. The cake is shaped like a champagne bottle, and encased in an edible box. Expect layers made up of nutty pistachio gelato, premium Jivara 40% chocolate from Valrhona, and chocolate Chantilly cream.

Their well-loved Pistachio Raspberry Log Cake ($98) swaps chocolate out for pistachio, with fluffy pistachio sponge cake wrapped around decadent pistachio cream and house-made raspberry jam.

Similarly, their newest White Forest Log Cake ($89) sees white chocolate take centre stage, as vanilla sponge cake is accompanied by white chocolate yoghurt cream, delightfully crunchy white chocolate pearls, and a rum-spiked cherry compote. Alternatively, fall back on a classic Valrhona Chocolate Log Cake ($75), made here without gluten, nuts, or alcohol.

French patisserie Patisserie CLÉ has a stunning range of festive treats this season under their CLÉ Christmas Wonderland menu. If it’s log cakes you’re looking for, they have two options, priced at $65, both beautifully minimalistic. The All Pistachio Log Cake is our personal recommendation. If pistachio gelato is your go-to order, you’ll love this nutty, layered creation, all its components made with roasted Italian pistachios.

Otherwise, stick to tradition and get their Black Forest Log Cake, enrobed in a cherry red mirror glaze. Kirsch-soaked cherries, chocolate sponge, vanilla chantilly, and a rich dark chocolate mousse combine to deliver a classic treat.
