15 Best Tiramisu In Singapore, Including Taro And Pistachio Kunafa Flavours

Best tiramisu in Singapore

Tiramisu is the quintessential Italian dolci (dessert). I can think of few better ways to close off a decadent, carb- and cheese-loaded Italian meal than with this airy medley of booze, coffee, and cream. Even better, I don’t have to travel to Italy to get my fix of this dessert, given the lengthy list of eateries and cafes in Singapore that do a mean rendition. Here’s our list of places to get the best tiramisu in Singapore.

1. Beast & Butterflies

Located at M Social Hotel Singapore is Beast & Butterflies, a popular restaurant serving up Asian fusion fare. Few know about their free-flow tiramisu, available on Fridays and Saturdays from 6pm for just $8++ with any main dish ordered. Apart from their regular tiramisu, they also offer different flavours every month such as the creamy and nutty Pistachio Malt Tiramisu.

From our Beast & Butterflies feature: “Made of a layer of coffee-soaked sponge cake, and sweet mascarpone cream, then dusted off with cocoa powder, the tiramisu was perfectly pillowy and addicting.”

Address: 90 Robertson Quay, Level 1, M Social Hotel Singapore, Singapore 238259
Opening hours: Sun-Thurs 6:30am to 11pm, Fri-Sat 6:30am to 11:30pm

2. Sugar Mama Lah

ICYMI, the popular Sugar Mama Lah has moved to Arab Street! This spot has a vibrant selection of tiramisu flavours for you to choose from, including the crowd-favourite Pistachio Kunafa Tiramisu ($14.90): delicate layers of tiramisu cake, chocolate, pistachio, and crispy kunafa pastry. If you prefer something less sweet, the Taro Tiramisu ($13.90) is a great choice; the taro powder layer gave the dessert a mildly sweet and earthy flavour, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

From our Sugar Mama Lah feature: “This indulgent treat layers tiramisu cake, chocolate, pistachio, and crispy kunafa pastry for a rich, textured bite. It is also designed to resemble a block of earth, complete with a little flower on top—you’ll definitely want to take a photo of this.”

Choose from 10 different flavours, including Irish Coffee Tiramisu (from $12), Hojicha Whisky + Chocolate Tiramisu (from $12), and the popular Pistachio Rose Gin Tiramisu (from $12). The latter features gin and rose syrup-soaked ladyfingers layered with pistachio mascarpone and finished with a sprinkle of toasted pistachios. FYI, you can also get larger portions from $65, perfect for parties or group gatherings.

4. Tipo Strada

Head to one of Tipo Strada’s three outlets at Wheelock Place, Royal Square at Novena, or Keong Saik Road for their popular handmade pasta under $20++. After you’re done feasting on their mains, we recommend getting their house-made Hazelnut Tiramisu ($14.90++) to end your meal on the best note. The cafe is Muslim-owned, which means there’s no alcohol in the dessert! Each scoop stars ladyfinger biscuits soaked in espresso and layered between hazelnut-infused cream cheese mousse and coffee ganache.

From our Tipo Strada review: “As the cafe is Muslim-owned, no alcohol is used in this version. Naturally, I felt that something important was lacking in the dessert, so I’d say avoid it unless you’re fine with a non-traditional tiramisu.”

5. Acoustics Coffee Bar Owen Road

At Acoustics Coffee Bar, you can try a unique Asian-inspired tiramisu created by MasterChef finalist Mandy Kee. The Pandan Tiramisu ($10++) is unlike all the tiramisu you’ve seen—you can indulge in the dessert with a fork and knife instead of a spoon. The espresso, pandan sabayon, toasted coconut, and sweet potato powder are served separately, so you can customise the amount of toppings to your liking. Do note that the Pandan Tiramisu is only available at the Owen Road outlet!

From our Acoustics Coffee Bar feature: “To our surprise, the sweet potato powder was mildly sweet in flavour, complementing well with the pandan sabayon.”

Come to Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse for their chargrilled Florentina steaks, but stay for their legit tiramisu. The mains here are rib-stickingly hearty, but the Bistecca Tiramisu ($17++) is surprisingly light, despite all the mascarpone that it comes with. The medley of espresso and dark rum here truly shines, giving extra depth with the generous dusting of bitter cocoa.

11. Da Paolo Gastronomia

One problem with having a ‘misu craving is that you’re often forced to dine in at restaurants or cafes so you can enjoy it as dessert. Not so at Da Paolo Gastronomia, though, which sells their Tiramisu Cup for $13.90+. The creamy treat comes with savoiardi biscuits liberally soaked in espresso and marsala—a fortified Italian wine. You can get other flavours, such as the Pistachio Tiramisu Cup ($14.90+) and Nutella Tiramisu Cup ($$13.90+), too!
