Bloom By Mokmok: Floral Cafe With Matcha Egglet Waffle, Souffle Pancakes And More In JB Mount Austin

Bloom by Mokmok in Mount Austin JB

From a futuristic coffee bar to a rustic garden-themed smokehouse, there are plenty of cafes in JB to check out if you’re planning to cross the border. The best part is that many of them are within 30 minutes by car from the customs. One such destination is Bloom by Mokmok, a pretty floral cafe located in Mount Austin.

Enter and the first thing you’ll notice is the photogenic ceiling, decorated with colourful dried flowers draping from above. The showstopping centrepiece fills up the entire cafe, so you’ll feel like you’re dining in an actual garden. Fairy lights hang from above, completing the look.

If you’re snapping pics, chope a table near the window for more natural light, as the space is dimly lit.

A hearty brunch dish to start with is the Baked Telur (RM26+/~S$8.40+). This shakshuka-inspired dish is like a hug in a bowl; it comes with chicken sausage, beef bacon, chickpeas, spinach, tomatoes, and eggs, served with warm pita slices.

Dip the soft pita pieces into the egg, breaking it for the ultimate yolk burst shot. Then, mix it all together for a satisfying, filling meal.

Those with a sweet tooth will enjoy the Emerald Oasis Egg Pufflets (RM20+/~S$6.50+), a plated dessert starring a whole matcha egglet waffle topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, cookie crumble, and fresh strawberries.

Bloom by Mokmok also serves cream cheese souffle pancakes, available in flavours such as Fresh Mango (RM22+/~S$7.10+) and Raw Honey (RM20+/~S$6.50+).

Offset all that sweetness with an artisanal tea; A Bloom for You (RM12+/~S$3.90+) is a light and refreshing blend of sakura, jasmine, and earl grey.
