Brotherbird Bakehouse To Open New Outlet In Raffles Place This November

Brotherbird Bakehouse to open in CIMB Plaza

Famous croissant bakery-cafe Brotherbird Bakehouse has been keeping busy of late, with their numerous pop-ups at Shell stations islandwide and running two full-fledged outlets. That total will soon increase to three, as the brand has announced that they will be opening a CBD outpost at Raffles Place’s CIMB Plaza.

Formerly known as Change Alley Mall, CIMB Plaza is home to several notable eateries, including Kanada-ya, Milksha, Waa! Cow, and more. Joining the fray is Brotherbird Bakehouse, though the exact date CBD workers can get their hands on the popular croissants has yet to be determined. Diners can expect 14 different bakes available daily, with flavours rotating regularly.

If you’ve not managed to try Brotherbird’s goodies, then here’s the lowdown: the bakery is one of Singapore’s pioneers for both flavoured and mochi croissants. Their claim to fame comes from their inventive flavours across the menu, and their curated monthly bake boxes.

Bestsellers to look out for include their Mentaiko Prawn Twice Baked, which comes with a mentaiko filling studded with sweet pieces of shrimp, and mozzarella. Their Ham & Cheese Twice Baked is another hot-seller, starring honey-smoked chicken ham, a creamy Mornay sauce, and cheddar cheese.

“Twice baked” refers to the technique used to bake these croissants, which gives the pastry an extra-crisp exterior.

For those on team sweet, look forward to a number of decadent dessert croissants on the menu, in flavours such as Rocher, a riff on the popular Ferrero Rocher chocolate, Churros, dusted with spiced cinnamon sugar, and more.

The bakery occasionally also sells danishes and rolls, often in locally inspired flavours. Croissants are priced around $5.50. Stay tuned to their Instagram page, @brotherbird_bakehouse, for more updates.
