Bullock Cart Coffee is a relatively new cafe located on the second storey of good ol’ Hong Lim Complex, where there are already a few chic cafes to choose from. Nevertheless, Bullock Cart Coffee is plenty enticing on its own, not least because of its decently-priced pastries and well-made drinks.

If you’re here for the coffee, one must-try drink is the Taro Latte ($6). With a gorgeous layer of purple orh nee underneath a rich milk and coffee blend, this drink is said to be both robust and brimming with the nutty flavour of taro.
You can also order more classic drinks including the Black Coffee ($4.50) and White Coffee ($5). We hear that all the coffee here is made with Arabica beans from Cowpresso, a local roastery.

As for pastries, the most affordable option on the menu is the basic Croissant ($3.80). There are, of course, slightly pricier spin-offs, such as the Almond Croissant ($4.60) and Egg Mayo Croissant ($5). Other treats you can order here include the Pain au chocolat ($4), Kouign-amann ($4.60), and Matcha Cruffin ($5.50).

While the narrow space and lack of seats mean you’re more likely to get these items to-go, the food and drinks alone are enough to check out this exciting new cafe in Chinatown. What’s more, Bullock Cart Coffee is run by a Gen-Z owner and his mother—all the more reason to support them!
