This Famous Thai Food Festival Is Back In Singapore, With $1 Beer Promos

Chang Sensory Trails 2022

Chang Sensory Trails 2022 is back with a bang! First introduced in 2016, the food festival is held by award-winning Thai beer brand Chang Beer. Since 2019, the annual event has been taking place in the US, the UK, and Singapore, with the aim to celebrate the diverse and delicious flavours from the four regions of Thailand. This year, you can expect 15 handpicked restaurants offering attractive beer promotions.

If you’re a big fan of Thai food, chances are you’ve heard of Chang Beer. The award-winning Thai beer company, which has been around since 1995, is known for their easy-drinking lager that goes excellently with spicy food and Asian flavours.

From now till 9 September 2022, simply order any of the selected dishes at the 15 Thai restaurants to enjoy a Chang Beer bottle at just $1! Subsequently, you can buy two Chang Beer bottles and get your third free. Read on for our list of recommended dishes that are part of the deal!

Nummun Thai Kitchen is a highly rated Thai restaurant along Upper Thomson Road. Popular among Thais and locals alike, the casual diner serves a wide range of authentic Thai dishes, including the Southern Thai Fish Curry with Young Coconut ($15). This spicy and tangy curry teems with tender fish slices and refreshing chunks of young coconut. It’s sweet, aromatic, and packs a punch—pair it with some rice ($1) for good measure!

Another must-try is the Crab Meat Omelette ($28), which comes loaded with juicy crab chunks wrapped in a fluffy egg omelette. Tear it apart and dip each forkful into the sweet Thai chilli for maximum flavour.

If you’re in the Chinatown ‘hood, visit Sawasdee Thai Restaurant along the bustling Trengganu Street. This chic and spacious Thai eatery has both indoor seating and an alfresco dining area perfect for breezy evenings.

Get the Steamed Spicy Lime Seabass ($36++) to share; this dish features a whole steamed sea bass drenched in a special garlic, chilli, and lemon-cilantro broth. There’s also the Fresh Crab Meat Egg Omelette ($32++): Thai-style deep-fried egg omelette with onions and crab chunks on top.

Add Aroy-Dee Thai Kitchen to your list of affordable late-night supper joints in town, as this no-frills spot opens till 6am daily. Enjoy the $1 Chang Beer promotion when you get any of these three dishes: Green Mango Salad ($7++/$10++), Thai Style Green Curry Noodle With Pork ($6.50++/$10++), or Clams in Thai Lime Sauce ($14++).

The mango salad is refreshingly sweet and tangy from the shredded green mango, and mildly spicy with bits of chilli peeking through. Wash it down with an ice-cold Chang Beer for a light yet satisfying pick-me-up at any time of the day!

If you’re willing to venture a little further, 555 Villa Thai at Cosford Road in Changi promises delicious grub with great vibes and views. The alfresco diner offers a huge variety of Thai-style dishes to choose from, including a Spicy Cockles Salad ($15++), which stars fresh cockles and veggies tossed in a lime-based dressing.

If you want something heartier, get a plate of Thai Grilled Pork ($10++/$18++) to share. Dip each piece of meat into the house-made chilli sauce—sweet and sour with an addictive hit of spice at the end. The savoury pork goes well with the smooth and full-bodied Chang beer, especially on a muggy evening in humid Singapore.

Dine at any of the 15 chosen Thai restaurants and enjoy the beer deals for a limited time only!

What’s more, you can stand a chance to win return flights for two to Bangkok or Phuket, where you can continue on with the Chang Sensory Trails in Thailand. To enter the lucky draw, scan the QR code displayed at the banner at each restaurant and register accordingly.

Chang Sensory Trails 2022 is held in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
