Chin Mee Chin Confectionery Has New Dishes And Merch To Celebrate 100th Anniversary

Chin Mee Chin Confectionery has new dishes for 100th anniversary

The legendary Chin Mee Chin Confectionery has officially reached 100 years old—a century of serving up luncheon meat buns, kaya toasts and more. To commemorate this milestone, the coffeeshop is launching some exciting new dishes, as well as merchandise for loyal fans. Do note that the new merch officially rolls out in August 2025, just in time for National Day.

One new dish to check out is Curry Pork Chop ($8.80), featuring a breaded and deep-fried pork cutlet drenched in a house-made curry sauce and served with a generous heap of rice.

Tender and meaty within, while crispy and golden brown on the outside, the pork chop is a great choice if you want something more filling to get through the day.

Another must-try dish is the Braised Pork Belly with Preserved Mustard Greens ($10.80). With succulent pork belly paired with pickled mustard greens to cut through the richness, this nostalgic and homey dish was delicious.

Given that the coffeeshop is known for their toast, it’s no surprise that they’ve got a few new renditions on the menu. These include the Kaya French Toast ($6), Peanut Butter French Toast ($7), and Nutella French Toast ($8).

We tried the peanut butter flavour, where you get a perfect square of thick shokupan coated with egg, pan-fried, and topped with a thin slab of butter. Cut the toast in half, and you get sweet-salty peanut butter within.

As for merch, the old-school coffeeshop is offering commemorative coins, T-shirts, blind bags and more.

We got the white T-shirt that aptly reads, “Life’s butter with kaya.”

We don’t know if the new dishes are permanent, so make your way down to try them while you still can. For easy access, Chin Mee Chin is an eight-minute walk from Marine Parade MRT Station.
