Our paychecks didn’t get much bigger this year, but Chope helped make it rain with their loyalty rewards, flash deals, buffet discounts and more. There’s good news for fellow Chope foodies, as it is time for their annual Diners’ Choice awards. This annual affair celebrates the kind of food we love—the tasty, the trendy, and the tantalising.
From 21 October to 24 November 2019, the power is passed entirely to us to vote for our favourite restaurants, most IG-worthy cafes, and the coolest bars. If you enjoy eating out but end up hurting your wallet in the process, this is the time to make up for it. Simply cast your votes and get rewarded with promo codes and discounts to help stretch the dollar.
There are a total of eight categories, namely:
A vote under Restaurant of the Year will immediately get you 100 KrisFlyer miles. Release your inner kiasu-ness and vote for at least three other categories to earn two more partner perks, such as 10% off Love, Bonito, a $5 Lazada promo code and more.
Out of the eight categories, Eatbook has nominated three eateries for the Diners’ Choice 2019 award. We decided right off the bat that Mitsuba’s super extensive $41.90++ buffet—which features a whopping 150 Japanese dishes—deserves a spot on the Best Bountiful Buffet category.
The Dragon Chamber got our vote as Bar of the Year. This speakeasy is hidden behind a kopitiam fridge at Boat Quay, with an ambience equally mysterious and seductive. There are also unique dishes such as Wagyu Truffle Beef Hor Fun ($68++) and D*** Soup ($30++), cranking up their cool factor by another notch.
Trust us to lock in Olivia Restaurant & Lounge for the Restaurant of the Year category as well. Other than nailing the trendy burnt cheesecake, their savoury Catalan spread kept us thinking about heading back all week.
Eating out is my guilty pleasure and if it is for you too, make sure to cast a vote as a form of gratitude to your go-to restaurants via Chope’s app or website. Winners of Diners’ Choice 2019 will be revealed on 2 December 2019 so stay tuned!
