5 Restaurants With Free Dishes Every Friday—Free Wagyu Steak, D24 Durian Puffs And More

Free signature dishes with Citi Gourmet Pleasures

Weekends just got a lot more exciting with the newly loosened dining restrictions. Take your dine-out reunions to the next level with Citi Gourmet Pleasures’ dining deals every Friday—these entitle you to free dishes at five notable restaurants islandwide.

From 1 April to 27 May 2022, get free pizza, pasta, and more every Friday; great to share with your dining partners! All you have to do is to hit the minimum spending requirement with your Citi Card, in order to receive a complimentary signature dish.

1. Basilico

Although Basilico at Regent Singapore may be known for their authentic Italian wood-fired pizzas and fresh pastas, don’t shy away from the Tentacolo di Polipo ($44++). The whole grilled octopus tentacle might look intimidating, however its taste is anything but. Imagine the natural sweetness of seafood kissed by fire, paired with a herbaceous and savoury pesto sauce.

With a minimum spend of $60 nett, receive a complimentary wood-fired pizza (U.P. $26++ to $31++) suitable for two to three people. Get the Pizza con Prosciutto Crudo, Rucola e Parmigiano (U.P. $31++) which comes generously topped with Parma ham, arugula and shavings of Parmesan cheese. For a vegetarian option, the Pizza Ortolana (U.P. $31++) sees their freshly-made dough topped with slices of eggplant, capsicum, zucchini, and a whole burrata.

2. COLLIN’S

Most of us would probably have dined at COLLIN’S before, but with a revamped menu in 2022, diners can expect to be intrigued by new items such as the Bi Feng Tang Fish and Chips ($20++). The name “Bi Feng Tang” (避风塘) originates from the typhoon shelters that Hong Kong fishermen would hide in, and refers to the crispy garlic and breadcrumb mixture that is sprinkled atop the fish fillet.

For the months of April and May, you can also enjoy the Citi Gourmet Pleasures free dishes promotion at casual dining chain COLLIN’S! Simply spend $50 every Friday to receive a free Wagyu Steak & Frites (U.P. $20++)! Enjoy the tender Wagyu cubes on their own or dip them in the spicy black pepper sauce.

Start your Friday night dinner with the Grandioso Board ($65++) that comes with cold cuts such as mortadella, prosciutto, and salami. Then, savour a main course of Merluzzo Bardato al Prosciutto ($48++) to enjoy their fresh flaky cod fillet that’s wrapped with Parma ham.

Under the Citi Gourmet Pleasures promotion, get a free artisanal pasta from a selection of  Ravioli al Parmigiano Fondente, Lasagne allá Bolognese, Gnocchi di Carote e Patate, or Spaghettoni Carbonara (U.P. $34++) with a minimum spend of $80 every Friday. Mushroom lovers will appreciate the ravioli that’s stuffed with creamy parmesan cheese, and doused in a decadent mushroom sauce.

From 1 April to 27 May, diners can look forward to a free plate of Soup Restaurant’s Signature Samsui Ginger Chicken (U.P. $20.90++) when they spend a minimum of $60 on Friday. Dip the juicy and succulent pieces of steamed chicken in the classic fragrant ginger sauce for maximum satisfaction.

Durian lovers unite! Goodwood Park Hotel’s annual Durian Fiesta is back with items such as the D24 Crystal Apricot Dome for $18 nett per piece and D24 Strawberry Mascarpone Filo Tart, which is $19 nett per piece. The former sees creamy D24 durian mousse matched with a tangy apricot jam while the latter is a flaky puff pastry filled with mascarpone cream and the same durian mousse, before it’s garnished with fresh strawberries and pistachio bits.

Spend a minimum of $50 nett on pastries from Goodwood Park Hotel’s Durian Fiesta at the online shop, to receive a complimentary set of six Signature D24 Puffs, which would usually set you back $33 nett. Made from fresh D24 durians, savour luscious durian mousse encased in light and airy choux. Bite-sized puffs of happiness for an indulgent treat!

Customers can also purchase vouchers for the Taiwan Porridge A La Carte Buffet ($49.43 nett per adult; $25.89 nett per child) from the online shop to enjoy the same complimentary six pieces of D24 Puffs for takeaway, with a minimum spend of $50 nett.
