If cats, coffee, matcha, and desserts are keywords that attract your attention, save Coffee Cat House in your JB itinerary. Think of this place as a regular cafe with cats living in it, rather than a cat cafe, as you don’t have to pay an entrance fee to get a seat. All you have to do is order some drinks or desserts to enjoy the company of adorable cats.
The current exchange rate is RM1 = ~S$0.31 as of 18 December 2025.
The cafe’s Instagram account features story highlights for each of the resident cats, allowing you to check their names. Butter, Cookie, Yoghurt, and Candy are some of the furry friends you can look forward to meeting.
It’s mandatory to order a drink or dessert here. If you’re going for the latter, there are six options to choose from, priced between RM18 and RM23—with the Oreo Cheesecake being the most affordable and the Matcha Tiramisu the priciest.
As for drinks, there’s a good mix of caffeinated and non-caffeinated options. The Sunset Fizz (RM17) is a refreshing quencher made with passionfruit, hibiscus, and soda water. For those who need their daily dose of caffeine, opt for the classic Americano (from RM11) or something more interesting, such as the Osmanthus Latte (from RM16) and Sakura Latte (from RM16).
Matcha latte is one of the cafe’s highlights here, as it’s made with the KL-famous Niko Neko powder. An iced Matcha Latte costs RM18, and for the same price, you can also get the Houjicha Latte or Genmaicha Latte.
Coffee Cat House is about a 30-minute drive from the JB checkpoint. While it’s not the most conveniently located, if you’re arriving from the causeway, it’s well worth the trip if you’re looking to unwind with cats and a good cup of coffee.
