4 Bakeries That Sell TikTok-Viral Cream-Filled Croissants In Singapore

Viral cream-filled croissants in Singapore

We’ve seen numerous viral food trends take over the internet world by storm. Ranging from rainbow bagels and sushi bake to Gigi Hadid’s spicy vodka pasta, the list is endless. If you, like me, love pastries, you have got to try these round, cream-filled croissants that have just rolled into Singapore. First popularised by Lafayette Grand Cafe & Bakery in New York, the sweet pastry, which looks like a kouign amann, is said to be slightly denser than a croissant. Here are four bakeries that carry them in a variety of flavours.

1. Swish Roll

Swish Rolls is a bakery in Bukit Timah that specialises in swiss rolls and croissants. Their version of this cream-filled croissant is called the Croon, and it comes in five different flavours going for $5.80 each.

If you have to try one flavour, get the Deep Dark Valrhona Chocolate. Its crust is said to be flaky and buttery, and it features a rich chocolate filling topped with sea salt.

These Croons are baked in limited batches that sell out fast, so get them while you can! You can also place an order online and have it delivered or ready for self pick-up at the store. If you’re interested to find out more, check out our article on these TikTok-viral croissants.

2. Yeast Side

Another place that has hopped onto the trend is Yeast Side at Farrer Park, a cafe known for its sourdough bakes, pizza, and beer. Yeast Side carries these croissants in three flavours: Almond Swirl, Black Forest Swirl, and Vanilla Pistachio Swirl.

You can go for the Vanilla Pistachio Swirl ($8), which has a notably doughy crust and a sweet and nutty filling.

For a boozy kick, their Almond Swirl ($8) flavour features a rum almond cream centre, topped with almond flakes.

Recommended flavours include the Passionfruit and Mango ($6.20), which has a nameraka purin filling, which is a type of Japanese custard pudding. You can also opt for the Truffle Cream Cheese ($8.20) flavour if you want something savoury.
