We love discovering hidden gems in Singapore, so we were stoked after stumbling upon Freshio Gelato in a TikTok video. Run by an elderly couple, affectionately referred to as “aunty” and “uncle”, this popular gelato cafe has a five-star rating on Google with over 400 reviews!

The cosy dessert cafe is located in Sunshine Plaza, an easy three-minute walk from Bencoolen MRT Station. Regulars rave about their deliciously smooth and creamy gelato, paired with fresh croffles, waffles and more. The service is said to be great, too!

Try their popular Croffles at just $2.50 and top up $3.90 for a scoop of Classic gelato. Premium flavours start at $4.70 per scoop. For the former, choose from familiar flavours such as Cookies & Cream, French Vanilla, and Minty Chocolate. If you’re feeling fancy, their Turkish Hazelnut ($4.70) and Ferrero Roche ($5.50) will hit the spot.

The gelato is freshly made on-site daily, so each mouthful is smooth and creamy. Should you wish to have yours in a cone, it’s $0.80 for a plain Waffle Cone, or you can get the Charcoal Cone ($1) for the ‘gram. There’s also a Nutty Cone ($1.50) available if you wish to zhng up your dessert.

Don’t leave without trying their unique Panini Gelato too! Simply choose your gelato flavour and top up $2 for panini option—a scoop is held between soft buns, and toasted on a panini press for the perfect hot-cold combination.
