When we covered Generation Coffee during our search for the best kopi in Singapore, we were impressed by their unique brew, prepared using an espresso machine instead of the traditional kopi sock. The Tekka Market stall has now branched out to open a second outlet, this time in the east at 216 Bedok Food Centre!

Generation Coffee announced in a recent IG post that they were finalising the setup of their new Bedok stall that will launch very soon. A brand representative also hinted the official opening to be on 26 December, though that’s subject to change.
The young hawkers behind the successful brand are ex-air force engineers who wanted to bring together traditional and specialty coffees. Here, you’ll find everything from their signature espresso-based Kopi-O ($1.40), to the Spanish Latte ($3.50), which combines sweetened condensed milk with hot espresso.
Another popular drink is the Iced Dirty Matcha ($4), which comprises earthy matcha, espresso shots, and milk.
As compared to old-school Nanyang-style coffee, their kopi comes with a beautiful crema layer from the freshly pulled espresso. On our visit to their first location earlier this year, we enjoyed the Kopi C Siew Dai ($1.60), which boasted a perfect mix of evaporated milk with espresso. Generation Coffee roasts their own beans without sugar or margarine, so you get to enjoy the natural richness of the coffee itself.
The new stall is a short bus ride from Bedok MRT Station. If Bedok is too far for you, head to Generation Coffee’s OG location in Tekka Market instead!
Another new Bedok stall worth trying is Tofully, known for their Hakka handmade yong tau foo. Otherwise, read our Ding Gua Gau Fried Rice review for affordable egg fried rice in the area!
