This Aviation-Themed Cafe Lets You Eat In A Hangar Overlooking Seletar Airport

Hangar66 Cafe is located in an aircraft hangar in Seletar

While most themed cafes require special decor to create immersion, Hangar66, a cafe near Seletar Airport, takes it a step further.

The aviation-themed spot is literally integrated into a hangar, which means you can dine next to jets, helicopters, and other aircraft.

But it’s not just the hangar—the cafe overlooks Seletar Airport, which means you can take in sights of aircraft taking off as you enjoy a meal.

If you’d like a more intimate experience, you can have your meal at the Aviators’ Lounge, located two storeys above Hangar66. To dine there, you have to pay $10 or spend a minimum of $40 for your meal—that’s not a negligible amount, but you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views of Seletar Airport.

Hangar66 serves fairly standard Western fare, though its large menu means there’s something for everyone. For those with a large appetite, there’s the Jumbo Chicken Schnitzel ($16.66++), which gets you a massive slab of breaded fried chicken along with some salad on the side.

For burgers, there’s the Premium Wagyu Beef Burger ($24.66++), All-American Beef Burger ($18.66++), and Xia Burger ($19.66++). However, note that these won’t impress burger connoisseurs—the burger we tried had a rather rubbery beef patty, and a cheese that wasn’t melted.

Other mains here include pasta dishes such as Mushroom Aglio Olio ($13.66++), Ultimate Mac and Cheese ($16.66++) and more.

If you’re just looking for sides, the likes of Hangar66 Signature Wings ($9.66++) and Truffle Parmesan Fries ($10.66++) get the job done. Pair those with drinks such as Pilot’s Blue ($7.66++) and Crimson Sky ($7.66++), which are colourful mocktails with aviation themes.
