If you love dim sum as much as we do, you’ll want in on this news. Popular Geylang restaurant HEY KEE HK Seafood has rolled out a new dim sum menu with over 10 new items, served daily for lunch from 11:30am to 5pm.

For the uninitiated, HEY KEE is a Hong Kong dai pai dong-style eatery that opened in 2024. This restaurant is a joint venture between Keith Kang of Yang Ming Seafood and Great Nanyang Heritage Cafe, as well as Reuben Chua.

Located at the old Singapore Badminton Hall, an eight-minute walk from Mountbatten MRT Station, HEY KEE exudes nostalgic charm. With bright green round tables and vintage decor, it feels like you’re dining straight in Mong Kok.

You won’t go wrong with their Char Siew Bun ($4.80++), a classic dim sum item featuring a soft bao packed with sweet-savoury BBQ pork.

Another staple is the Hand-Chopped Siew Mai ($5.80++), made by manually chopping the meat filling before shaping each dumpling. This results in a firmer bite compared to machine-processed versions.

No dim sum experience is complete without har gao. Try a basket of Beetroot Shrimp Dumplings ($5.80++), where the classic prawn dumpling gets a natural pink hue from beetroot.

For something more unique, consider the Crispy Mushroom Snail ($6.80++), shaped like a small pastry snail with a mochi-like layer and a chicken-and-mushroom filling.

Other popular fried dim sum must-orders include Fried Mango Prawn Roll ($6.80++) and XO Stir-Fried Carrot Cake ($5.80++).

Then, fill up with some Shrimp & Chives Rice Rolls ($6.80++), also known as chee cheong fun, or get the Ting Zai Boat Porridge ($13.80++) if you want something more substantial.

To celebrate the launch, diners who spend at least $100 before GST and service charge can redeem a dim sum-themed keychain plushie worth $10. Designs rotate weekly, and stocks are limited—so head down soon!
