Popular Husk Nasi Lemak Opens New Takeaway Kiosk At Changi Airport

Husk Nasi Lemak at Changi Airport

Ever since its cloud kitchen days, Husk Nasi Lemak has been steadily winning over the hearts and appetites of many. We rejoiced when they finally opened a brick-and-mortar eatery in Bugis Cube, and now those living in the far east have a reason to celebrate as well. Since 9 June 2022, the Muslim-friendly nasi lemak eatery has set up shop in the basement of Changi Airport Terminal Three!

After a long sojourn in Europe, you might be craving some good ole’ rice after having bread, pasta, and potatoes all day, every day. Fret not, as you can now enjoy four of the original dishes from the Bugis store at the Changi Aiport outlet as well.

Sink your teeth in the Signature Chicken Cutlet ($12.30), which comes with a large piece of battered chicken, accompanied by their classic sides of Onsen Egg ($2.20), homemade sambal, ikan billis, house-made achar, as well as your choice of bottled drink.

If you prefer a heartier protein, opt for the Wholesome Lemak Drumstick ($15.20) for a rich and juicy drumstick cooked in their classic lemak curry. The nasi here is also topped with crispy battered bits, to provide that satisfying contrast with every mouthful.

The other two available meal options are Fried Fish Asam Pedas Sauce ($13.40) and the Grilled Chicken Set ($12.30), which also include a drink as part of the meal. The former gets you two pieces of battered fish, while the latter gives you a moo-ping-inspired grilled chicken chop.

Prices here are a tad more expensive than those at Bugis, but that’s understandable considering the higher overheads. We do find it regrettable that Husk Nasi Lemak Changi Airport is a takeaway only concept, so keep that in mind for when you’re about to head there your meal.
