JUMBO Seafood ION Orchard Has New Dim Sum Afternoon Tea At $24++ Per Person

We’ve previously tried JUMBO Seafood ION Orchard’s new afternoon tea set, and enjoyed the affair so much we put it on our list of best afternoon teas in 2020. Not one to rest on their laurels, JUMBO Seafood ION Orchard has refreshed the high tea menu to offer a new Dim Sum Afternoon Tea Set, available from 2pm to 5:30pm daily.

Priced at $48++ for two, this afternoon tea set works out to quite a steal, at $24++ per person. This value-for-money factor compounds when you consider the atas skyscraping views at the restaurant, as well as the items you get in the set.

There are a total of 10 items on the Dim Sum Afternoon Tea menu. Novel bites include their Baked Egg Tarts with Bird’s Nest, where collagen-rich tuiles of bird’s nest decorate flaky egg tart crusts, as well as Chilled Lime Jelly with Peach Resin and Mixed Fruit to refresh the palate.

Bringing in the dim sum element are morsels like the JUMBO Siew Mai, Steamed Glutinous Rice Rolls, Pan-Fried Carrot Cake and more. JUMBO signatures like their Sweet Yam Paste with Salted Egg Yolk Puffs—essentially an orh nee and liu sha bao mash-up—and Baked JUMBO Chilli Crab Puffs will also be on the menu.

Choose from two teas to complete the set: Wellness Eight Treasures Tea or Oriental Beauty with Wolfberries. These come in clear teapots, adding to the Instagrammable factor of the whole affair.

If the set doesn’t fill you up, there is also the option to top-up the menu with ala carte orders of more dim sum items. Prices start at $4.80++ for three pieces of Pan-Fried Carrot Cake, and go up to $8.80++ for Pan-Fried JUMBO Chilli Crab Buns.

This Dim Sum Afternoon Tea Set is held in honour of International Women’s Day, so grab your ride or die gang and head down to the restaurant. If you go in a group of four, you get 50% off the second tea set if one of you is a JUMBO Rewards member, or has a UOB Lady’s card. This promotion is valid till 30 April.
