1. 13 Stages


13 Stages dishes out delectable chicken with a local twist. The restaurant is helmed by veteran Singaporean actor Mark Lee, along with two of his close friends and his wife. Try the Imperial Ginger Chicken ($9.90+), which features a huge chicken leg that’s irresistibly tender. It’s steamed in a traditional bamboo basket to lock in its flavour, then topped with a wide array of toothsome sauces. The dish is served with fragrant chicken rice or fluffy plain rice. 

Bubble tea fans would be happy to hear that the restaurant sells BBT as well. These include the creamy Brown Sugar Milk Pearls ($4.90+) and Red Tea Milkies W/Pearls ($3.90+). You can get a free cup of Brown Sugar Milk Pearls with every purchase of three mains!

A-One Claypot House serves delicious and comforting Chinese cuisine. Their Shrimp Fried Rice with Ebiko ($12.90+) is fragrant, and has a strong wok hei aroma. Seafood lovers will enjoy its generous portion of shrimp, with the ebiko adding a nice touch of luxury to this mouth-watering dish. Known for their delicious curry puffs and snacks, Old Chang Kee has been many Singaporeans’ go-to snack joint for years. Their Kallang Wave Mall outlet is slightly more interesting, as it also dishes out tasty bee hoon and nasi lemak. Try their Curry Chicken Set ($6.90), which consists of succulent chicken simmered in an aromatic curry, and served with fragrant rice. 

Old Chang Kee has an ongoing promotion till 30 June 2020 where you can get two puffs free with every purchase of 10 items. For the free puffs, choose from Curry’O, Sardine’O, and Chicken Mushroom’O.

OMOOMO pushes out unique halal-certified Korean fusion food that is both tasty and healthy, as all their rice bowls come with multigrain rice. Their Steak Omelette Don ($11.90) will satisfy your meat cravings.
