After having the viral $4.50 fried chicken rice at Big Fried Chicken in MacPherson, I was searching for coffee spots near me when I chanced upon Kopi Folks Club at MacPherson Market & Food Centre. This newly opened hawker stall specialises in freshly brewed espresso, latte and more, with prices starting from just $2.
You’ll be surprised to see that Kopi Folks Club is run by young hawkers who take their coffee very seriously. There’s a menu dedicated to speciality coffee here, with the cheapest item being a cup of hot Espresso for $2.
If espresso is too bitter or intense for you, consider the Flat White ($3.50) or Latte ($3.50/$4) instead.
There are five kinds of flavoured lattes too, ranging from sweet to nutty. For those with a sweet tooth, you can’t go wrong with their Spanish Latte, made with sweetened condensed milk, the Vanilla Latte, or the Caramel Latte.
A cup of Hazelnut Latte or Mocha Latte is perfect for a nuttier alternative! Do note that all flavoured lattes are priced at $3.90 for hot and $4.40 for iced.
There’s a takeaway option for an additional $0.20, but if you choose to sip and chill at the hawker centre, your drink will be served in a pretty coffee mug, similar to those used at cafes.
For easy access, MacPherson Market & Food Centre is a six-minute walk from Matter MRT Station or a seven-minute walk from MacPherson MRT Station.
