This Japanese Crepe Kiosk Has Loaded Crepes With Banana Matcha Creme Brulee, Samyang Buldak And More

Kremi has loaded Japanese crepes at *SCAPE

If you’ve come back from your Japan trip craving more Japanese-style crepes, you’ll find that they have become an increasing rarity in Singapore. One of the few places that serve them up is Kremi, located at *SCAPE at Orchard.

This cute kiosk is a hit among the youth in the area, offering both sweet and savoury crepes to suit every palate. Run by a cheerful young lady who missed Japanese crepes after returning to Singapore, the stall was born out of her decision to bring the beloved concept back home.

Perhaps their most stunning creation is the Banana Pudding Matcha Brulee ($14.90)—banana pudding and matcha creme wrapped in a matcha-infused crepe, then blowtorched on the top to caramelise it just the right amount.

If you’re a fan of banana pudding matcha, this item is for you. The brulee top shatters nicely in a sweet, crisp crunch, and the banana pudding and matcha cream within make for a decadent dessert.

As someone who frequently noms on Samyang Buldak noodles, I went for the Mt. Buldak ($11.90) as the savoury option. This was filled with spicy buldak, an omelette, sausage, cheese and lettuce, and finished with seaweed and mayonnaise.

This crepe hit the right spots of being spicy, savoury, and filling all at once. Most might think of crepes as a dessert option, but if you have space in your stomach, do try this out as a snack, or even as a full meal.

I was also recommended to try the Mochi Strawberry ($11.90), one of their bestsellers. This was a rather quintessential crepe in the Japanese style—sweet strawberries and whipped cream stuffed inside a thin crepe along with chewy mochi.

I thought that this was a great dessert option for those with a sweet tooth. It makes for a great introduction for those who have never tried Japanese-style crepes.

Other sweet dessert options include the Strawberry Cream Cheesecake ($14.90), the Strawberry Nutella ($11.90), and the Oreo Cream Cheese ($11.90), while those looking for savoury treats will also find the Tuna Mayo ($9.90).

Kremi is located in *SCAPE, which is a 10-minute walk from Orchard MRT Station.
