This Hidden Garden Cafe In Fort Canning Has Gorgeous Floral-Themed Decor

Le Jardin is a floral-themed cafe in Fort Canning

Singapore is home to a handful of pet-friendly cafes, but few are as stunning as Le Jardin in Fort Canning. The French bistro has a floral, garden-themed decor and Parisian-style alfresco area that is so lush and beautiful, you’ll be forgiven for thinking you’ve temporarily left Singapore when dining there.

The space, in its entirety, seats over 100 people. Inside, the space sees high ceilings, long tables and woven seat chairs, and intricate displays of hanging plants in different shades of green. Tables are also adorned with blooms cut from the in-house florist.

Outside, diners can either sit in the garden, or by the long bar. Meals are either enjoyed on woven terrace chairs a la European bistros, surrounded by towering green trees.

On the food front, Le Jardin specialises in classic brunch fare and Japanese-European mains for dinner.  Brunch is served from 9am to 5pm on weekdays, and from 8:30am to 5pm on weekends.

The Croissant Waffle ($24++) is a popular dish, pairing a buttery croffle with truffle scrambled eggs, and a Toulousian pork sausage. For something sweet, get the Brulée French Toast ($21++), dressed with seasonal fruits and an airy Chantilly Cream.

If you’re coming by for dinner, start off your meal with the Wild Mushroom Soup ($10++), made with a medley of mushrooms, including shiitake, and Swiss brown. Then, try their seafood appetisers, including their Aburi Hokkaido Scallop ($26++), served with burnt butter soy sauce. For mains, the restaurant has a number of pastas, as well as meats, from Duroc Pork Belly ($35++) to Black Angus Short Ribs ($38++).

Don’t leave without trying their plated desserts, each beautifully presented on floral-themed plates. If you’d like to have waffles and ice cream, come by past 3pm, where Le Jardin offers Rose Waffles ($18++), topped with edible flowers.
