Regular patrons of local matcha dessert cafes and lovers of all things matcha, rejoice! There’s yet another new Magnum ice cream flavour in town; their very own rendition of the very popular Japanese green tea. This also happens to be their first Asian-inspired dessert creation, and it is sold at $10.90 in a box of four bars, at all major supermarkets, convenience stores, and RedMart.
A creamy high-quality matcha ice cream strikes a nice balance with their trademark Belgian chocolate shell . The pleasantly bitter and slightly nutty matcha adds depth of flavour to a conventionally sweet post-dinner treat. This is Magnum’s latest in their line of special ice cream concoctions, such as ice cream brownies previously.

What’s more, Magnum is working with local artisanal sourdough donut specialist, Sourbombe Bakery, on an exclusive bundle. It will consist of one box of Magnum Matcha bars and three unique donut flavours, only for a limited time. The Magnum x Sourbombe bundle will be open for preorders on 6 March, starting from 12pm and will be all yours at $25.
Chocoholics will enjoy the Matcha World, an Uji matcha-infused cream donut accompanied by Valrhona chocolate shards and matcha white chocolate swirls to top it off.Â
For a fruity twist, try Momo Sakura, made with poached peach-flavoured custard.
If matcha just isn’t your cup of tea, go with Hojicha Caramel Crunch, featuring Hojicha cold-steeped in milk, plus a dash of caramel crunch too.
If you’re looking for other new options for ice cream outside of the new Magnum matcha bar , check out the famous Malaysian chain, Inside Scoop’s first outlet at North Bridge Road that opened recently.
